Olivia Snell is a St. Louis native currently attending Drury University in Springfield, MO. In May 2016, she will graduate from Drury with a Master’s in Architecture and a Bachelors of Arts degree in Art History. Olivia became interested in the For Burkina campaign after participating in a design-build studio in Joplin, MO, and then studying abroad for a semester on the island of Aegina in Greece.
While at Drury University, Olivia is actively involved in several organizations outside of architecture. Most of those include academic honor societies and choral ensembles at Drury, where she has also had experience traveling and singing internationally. In her spare time, she enjoys not only singing, but writing her own music on the piano and guitar. Olivia also enjoys spending time outdoors with family and friends. She has grown up camping and boating with her family, and has since extended those interests to biking and hiking with other students at Drury University.
Olivia is fascinated by the power of socially oriented design, and is excited to explore the field as part of the For Burkina team. She is grateful to have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and their families in Burkina Faso.
